I am a Forensic Scientist and supervise the CSI Unit and the Fingerprint Unit of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office (VCSO) Forensic Services Bureau (FSB). While my area of expertise is as a Certified Latent Print Examiner, Iam cross trained in Crime Scene Investigation. I have worked a
range of cases, from burglaries to multi-casualty homicides, in collaboration with local, state, and federal agencies. I provide instruction at the Ventura County Criminal Justice Training Center and training for local law enforcement agencies.

I received a B.S. in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from UC Davis in 2005 and an M.S. in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics from CSU Channel Islands in 2008. Prior to my employment with the VCSO, I conducted discovery research as a Senior Research Associate at Amgen, a biotech company in Thousand Oaks, CA.

I am a native and resident of Ventura County and take pride in being of service to the community in which I grew up. I am an avid runner and enjoy going on adventures with my husband and our three children. I am active on social media and invite you to connect on Instagram @latentrunner where I share running and forensic-related things.
